Dark’s Embrace is a beautifully layered, energetic painting. It is one of few paintings that I have worked on exclusively while laid flat. The piece itself developed very quickly across only 2 sessions with a focus on very visible brushstrokes. I love the bold sections of mars black against the rest of the colors.
